FAQs

Absolutely. Balanced Body Education prides itself on teaching the full Pilates Reformer repertoire. While we teach the classic exercises, we do so with a contemporary understanding of movement science and biomechanics as related to individual client abilities. By doing this, you will be able to apply Reformer repertoire to the moving and dynamic body in front of you. Each course also teaches how to reach the potential of each exercise allowing you, as you progress through the curriculum, to design endlessly creative, safe and effective Reformer classes.

With each Reformer course offering, Reformer 1, Reformer 2, and Reformer 3, you will be able to student teach and start working on the Reformer at whatever level you are at. You will not be a fully certified Pilates Reformer instructor until you have completed all the course work and your practice hours and successfully completed your practical and written final exams.

Our Reformer courses are Reformer 1, Reformer 2, and Reformer 3. Each module covers safety, client setup, teaching progressions, modifications, and regressions. To complete the Reformer certification, you will also need to take our signature Balanced Body Movement Principles course, and either our Anatomy in Three Dimensions™ course or comparable.
